Socialization of Fire Prevention and Hazard Control For Business Partners

Yogyakarta (01/04) - In order to improve the service quality, on Thursday (31/03) Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue Operation Section (AFFR) or Relief on Aviation Accidents and Fire Fighters (PKP-PK) Yogyakarta Adisucipto Airport held a regular activity about Socialization on Fire Hazard Prevention and Countermeasures to all Business Partners were held at the Yogyakarta Adisucipto Airport Periskapura Building and the Volleyball Field in NDB Housing.

The event was opened by Rahman, as the Airport Service Section Head General Manager representing Yogyakarta Adisucipto Airport. In his speech, he delivered on the importance of these activities implementation and that the program is a mandatory program that must be implemented every year. Airport Operation Fire Fighting & Rescue Section Head, I Made Darma added, “Socialization of Fire Danger Prevention and Countermeasures is always routinely performed annually in the first semester. This activity aims to foster and increase the sense of shared responsibility for the safety and fire hazard, especially in Adisutjipto Airport environment.”

After clarification and socialization of fire prevention and countermeasures, all participants were directed toward the open field to follow simulated extinguishing the fire by using a small fire extinguisher (Dry chemical powder, CO2) and simple tool such as a wet sack. At the end of the activity, I Made Darma delivered, “Looking forward for all Business Partners can participate in preventing and combating the dangers of early fire using a fire extinguisher that is already available at each venue partners. And also there will be a follow-up program related to socialization and this simulation is planned to be followed by all employees of PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Yogyakarta Adisucipto Airport.” (Ganes / Dhika)
